Judge recommends probationary insurance license to Petitioner convicted of 2 felony counts of possession of methamphetamines.

Petitioner applied for a resident insurance agent’s license in April 2012. In 2006, Petitioner pled guilty to two felony counts of possessing methamphetamine. In her license application, Petitioner denied ever being convicted of any crime. The Judge determined Petitioner had a good faith belief that the conviction was expunged from her record. At her hearing, Petitioner acknowledged she was addicted to methamphetamine at the time of her arrest. However, Petitioner has been drug free since she entered a drug treatment program. She attends Alcoholics Anonymous meetings every week and actively assists recovering addicts. In 2007, she worked at bakery and was promoted to manager where she handled money.  The bakery owner testified that Petitioner was honest and trustworthy. The Judge recommended that the Commission GRANT Petitioner a probationary insurance license.
