Judge Michael Malihi reports recent developments in Georgia at the Chief and Deputy Chief Judges’ Conference in Seattle, Washington.

In September 2013, Judge Michael Malihi met with Chief and Deputy Chief Judges from 17 states to discuss recent developments in court management. The topics included challenges of changing and fluctuating caseloads, technology requirements, and appellate review of administrative decisions. Judge Malihi shared with the group Georgia’s court staffing structure, case assignment system, court funding, revenue sources, court expenditures, budget audits, the integration of the new Georgia Tax Tribunal, Georgia’s Administrative Law Report, court security issues and Georgia’s progress in developing a state-of-the-art case management system.
