The parent’s IDEA due process hearing request was dismissed without prejudice. Judge Walker held that even where a party may represent his or her child’s interests through a grant of powers of attorney, he or she may not act as legal counsel. Such powers do not override Georgia’s ban on the unauthorized practice of law.
