Plaintiffs alleged that President Barack Obama was not a \”natural born citizen\” of the United States as required by Article II of the United States Constitution and was therefore ineligible to run for the office of President of the United States. Plaintiffs produced no competent evidence to support their assertion that President Obama was not born in the United States. An alternative argument that President Obama was not a natural born citizen because his father was never a U.S. citizen failed in light of well-established precedent that individuals born in the United States are natural born citizens.
