Organization cannot seek direct appeal on Medicaid issue without applicant’s authorization 

An organization that represents Medicaid applicants/recipients filed a Petition for Direct Appeal on behalf of one such applicant, seeking a hearing before this Court.  The Petition was denied because the organization did not provide proof that the Medicaid applicant had authorized the organization to act on her behalf.

“Emergency-tow” permit found to be valid and justified truck’s weight on public road  

The Court reversed the Department of Public Safety’s decision to issue a citation to a trucking company for driving an overweight vehicle on public roads.  The Court concluded the truck in question had a valid “emergency-tow” permit, which would have allowed the truck’s load.
