Court orders remand following multiple errors during food stamp review

The Court remanded this case due to a series of errors the Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS) made during a food stamp eligibility review. The food stamp recipient was not given the mandatory 10-day period to submit necessary documents for reapplication and, despite seeking assistance from her case manager, was told that her case had been prematurely closed. The Court ordered DFCS to reopen the case and properly assess the recipient’s eligibility for benefits.
