Respondent, an optometrist, was required to pay a $1,000 fine, complete two continuing education hours and submit proof of completion to the Board of Optometrists (the Board) pursuant to a Consent Order. Although Respondent completed the two continuing education hours, she did not timely submit proof of such completion or pay the $1,000 fine. Further, Respondent closed two practice locations and only made minimal attempts to inform her patients and guard against patient abandonment. Respondent’s failure to communicate with the Board, follow the Consent Order and properly administer her optometry practice warranted indefinite suspension of her license followed by a one year probationary period.
