Respondent met the minimum evidentiary burden to show that he had been a legal resident in the county where he sought a House District seat at least one year prior to the date of the election. Respondent presented a lease agreement for a residence in the district and a document mailed to him at that residence dated more than one year before the election. While Respondent claims a homestead exemption for a home address he at one time shared with his estranged wife, this fact is not dispositive and is only one factor in determining Respondent county of residence.
