Petitioner appeals Respondent’s denial of a Georgia real estate license. In 1996, Petitioner was charged with Forgery in the 1st degree and the charge was nolle prossed. Additionally, the Georgia Board of Nursing sanctioned her nursing license when she misappropriated controlled substances for self-use.  In the late 1990’s Petitioner participated in a drug treatment program and has remained drug-free for over 12 years. She has worked full time in a hospital as a registered nurse since 2001 without any recurrence. Petitioner presented multiple witnesses to testify to her good character. The Judge found that Petitioner proved that she had a good reputation for honesty and trustworthiness and was competent to transact business.  Therefore, the Judge GRANTED her real estate license.
