The Board sought to revoke Respondent’s license to practice speech language pathology after she was found guilty for Medicaid fraud (a felony) in 2012 and confined to prison for 10 years.   Respondent billed and received payments of $60,000 in 18 months for speech services that she did not provide.  Additionally, Respondent failed to notify the Board of her conviction. Both infringements are grounds for revocation.  Respondent did not offer any evidence of mitigation of her conduct. Based on gravity of criminal offense in connection with her professional practice and her failure to notify the Board, the Court REVOKED Respondent’s license.
