This case involved a disciplinary action brought by the state licensing board against a massage therapist.  An undercover investigation by local law enforcement identified someone employed by the massage therapist who was unlicensed and who offered sexual services in exchange for compensation.  The massage therapist conceded she knew the employee was unlicensed but denied knowledge of any sexual misconduct. The Court ultimately affirmed the board’s finding of unprofessional conduct.  In light of the massage therapist’s subsequent efforts to comply with employee qualifications and workplace standards, the Court concluded that a written reprimand, a fine of $500.00, and payment of investigative and administrative costs were appropriate sanctions.
