A university student was denied food stamps because he did not meet any of the 11 exemptions that grant students eligibility for food stamp benefits. He also was not eligible for the temporary COVID-19 relief exemption for students who receive no annual contributions from family. The Court affirmed the denial, noting that the student—who was 19 years old and living with his parents—is not considered a separate household from his parents for purposes of food stamp eligibility.
